Windows 3 and 4
Based on significant teacher and principal feedback, we are adapting the strucure of observation windows 3 and 4.
Window 3
- Last LEAP observation window of 2011-12 LEAP pilot
- Dates extended: January 17-April 13
- Observations and ratings on Areas of Focus (and relevant ELA Indicators only)
- Observed by same observer as window 2 (allows for ratings from both principal/AP and Peer Observer during 2011-12 pilot year)
Window 4
- Window 4: April 16-May
- Not a formal observation window
- Peer Observers will beta test revised Framework with approximately 20 teachers each (on a volunteer basis from teachers)
- Feedback from Peer Observers and teachers will inform summer training on new Framework and observation process for 2012-13 pilot year
- Principals/APs will conduct End of Year conversations with teachers and discuss:
- Review of 2011-12 observation and Student Perception Survey data
- Professionalism (no scores) measure of LEAP introduced
- Planning around Areas of Focus for 2012-13 PGP (using revised Framework)
